to play or not to play?!!
According to reports, Carles Puyol will not continue playing at the international level with Spain, as having won the ultimate prize in the World Cup title, the centre-back is to declare his international retirement.
However, although Puyol has alluded to his international retirement, AS reports that the long-locked defender will play for La Furia Roja in Spain’s upcoming friendly on August 11th against Mexico and will decide his future after discussing it with coach Vicente Del Bosque and Spain sporting director Fernando Hierro soon after the match.
Del Bosque has publicly encouraged Puyol to continue with La Seleccion–at least to reach the milestone of 100 matches with his country. In the wake of the World Cup final, Puyol currently sits at 90 matches…

Oh God, Puyol play!!! His not that old yet, 32 I believe, and most importantly – the boy can still play!!!!!! His still looks great out on the pitch and should at least stick around to the next Euro’s.
